Agricultural Waste Recycling Program received the "Circular Economy Benchmark Enterprise" honor from the Environmental Protection Administration.

The Ministry of Environment announced this year's list of "Circular Economy Benchmark Enterprises," and Shannung Foods was selected for its innovative model of transforming agricultural by-products such as soybean dregs and bagasse into biomass fuel, animal feed, and organic compost. All five of Shannung Foods' production bases across Taiwan passed the latest version of the Food Safety Management System FSSC 22000 V6 certification, becoming one of the few food enterprises in Taiwan to simultaneously obtain the highest version certification. This certification added enhanced requirements such as food fraud prevention, food defense, and allergen management, achieving an excellent result of "zero non-conformities" during the audit process. The certification is valid until 2027 and will undergo unannounced audits annually.

Breakthrough in Water Resource Management: Taichung Plant's Wastewater Recycling Rate Reaches 97.3%, Setting a New Record for Taiwan's Food Industry.

Shannung Foods' Taichung flagship plant completed the third phase upgrade of its wastewater recycling system this year. Through reverse osmosis membrane technology and activated carbon filtration processes, the wastewater recovery and reuse rate reached 97.3%, breaking the record for Taiwan's food manufacturing industry. Approximately 680 tons of water can be saved daily, translating to an annual saving of 247,200 tons, equivalent to the monthly water consumption of approximately 25,000 households in Taichung City. This achievement has passed SGS third-party water resource audit certification.

Supply Chain Human Rights Due Diligence Report Released, 342 Core Suppliers Passed ESG Assessment.

Shannung Foods released its annual supply chain human rights due diligence report. During the reporting period, ESG risk assessments were conducted for 342 core suppliers, covering 89% of the total procurement value. Among them, 118 suppliers were identified as high-risk; on-site audits have been completed, and they have been required to submit improvement plans within 12 months. The report was prepared in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights framework, making it the first supply chain human rights report in Taiwan's food industry published under this framework.
